Measurements of the room as it stands, photographs from every corner, and an honest account of what is not working. If you have existing drawings or a floor plan from a listing, those help too.

A design plan that fits your taste and your budget: the layout, the placements, and the selections that go with it. It is written to be handed to somebody else and understood without you standing there explaining it.
Your trades build
A contractor local to you does the work, quoting from the plan rather than from a conversation. That is the same division of labour as the in home service. Only the drive is missing.
If you are inside Greater Cleveland or Akron, the in home service is usually the better fit, because walking the room catches things a photograph hides. Everywhere else, this is the route.
